The Cottage boasts a date plaque of 1756, is full of natural charm with many impressive and original features. It has now been fully modernised and benefits from a quiet position being the middle property of a row of three, set well back from the road in the riverside village of Darley Bridge.

This 4 Star Rated cottage is the ideal location to explore everything the Peak District has to offer with wonderful riverside walks directly from the door, it is also a very popular area for cyclists. There are 2 good pubs both serving food within easy walking distance. For those nights in, the cottage is very comfortable and warm with modern central heating and a cosy gas fired log burner.

The cottage is entered into a good sized, beamed lounge with an imposing gritstone fireplace and inset gas fired log burner. It is comfortably furnished with a leather suite and occasional desk / study area and benefits from a flat screen TV with DVD player. A door leads through to the kitchen, dining area and bathroom, open tread stairs lead to the first floor accommodation.

The well equipped kitchen is bespoke with a slate floor and beamed ceiling,  the facilities include a washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric fan oven, a tumble dryer has been installed in the outhouse at the rear of the house and the dining area is open plan from here.

                                                                         

The dining area benefits again from slate flooring and a beamed ceiling, a wooden dining table and 5 comfortable chairs. The feature wall has been left as exposed stone and the room is lovely and warm in the winter and nice and cool in the summer thanks to the thick stone walls and central heating. A further door leads to the well apointed bathroom which consists of a large bath with shower over, toilet and handbasin and heated towel rail.  

 

 

The Master bedroom has a double bed, exposed beams and the original wooden floor.  The window has a large sill which is a lovely place to sit. The first floor also has a cloakroom with toilet and handbasin a twin room and single room.
